This issue (March) of the DEAF BAYOU e-news dedicates to Della Mae Childress’ one of Louisiana’s most charming women who passed away last week.  She was truly supportive of LAD and LADBC for many years and happy DEAF BAYOU reader as well.  She was one of many hard-workng committees hosting 1988 AADB nationl conference in Baton Rouge under the leadership of Linda Annala, chair.  And she was one of many survivors by Hurricane Katrina, and her house was heavily destroyed. We all have our own memories to remember her by but today is her final chapter and she is moving on to a better place to join the love of her life of 60+ years, Oliver Childress. Even though she is no longer here with us; our memories of her will always keep her alive in our hearts. We will miss her and love her forever.

There will be memorial service for Della Mae; click here to find more information
