  • LSD SPORTSNEWS: 2005 FRAT All-American names four (4) Louisiana School for the Deaf (LSD) athletes: Joy Fraychineaud, Volleyball (2nd Team); Terrell Sumers, Football (1st Team-Offense); Byron Smith, Football (1st Team-Defense); James Davis, Football (1st Team-Defense). LSD was named by the FRAT as 2005 National Deaf Prep Champion with an undefeated season (6-0).

Mason-Dixon Football Conference names LSD as 2005 Team of the Year and selected five (5) players All-Conference 1st Team: Terrell Sumers (MVP), James Davis, Miguel Pantagua, Byron Smith, and John Holmes.

  • LRID NEW OFFICERS: Louisiana Registry Interpreters for the Deaf (LRID) have just elected new officers: Cam Sharpe, President; Derrick Elkins, Vice President; Peggy Gray, Secretary; Glenda Facheaux, Treasurer; Mary Burns, CMP Coordinator; Ann Moore, LRID Representative to LAD.
