• LSD SPORTSNEWS: 2005 FRAT All-American names four (4) Louisiana School for the Deaf (LSD) athletes: Joy Fraychineaud, Volleyball (2^nd Team); Terrell Sumers, Football (1^st Team-Offense); Byron Smith, Football (1^st Team-Defense); James Davis, Football (1^st Team-Defense). LSD was named by the FRAT as 2005 National Deaf Prep Champion with an undefeated season (6-0).

Mason-Dixon Football Conference names LSD as 2005 Team of the Year and selected five (5) players All-Conference 1^st Team: Terrell Sumers (MVP), James Davis, Miguel Pantagua, Byron Smith, and John Holmes.
