Wishing you & your family a blessed Christmas!

 

This issue (December) of the DEAF BAYOU e-news dedicates to our LoUiSiAna’s e-newsletter, The Deaf Bayou e-news  for its marking first anniversary of the publication in which it was first published on December 1, 2005 and distributed to mass of deaf, deaf-blind, & hard of hearing community citizens VIA e-mail. The DEAF BAYOU e-news serves as an independent subscription, created by Dan Arabie, Editor. The purpose of the DEAF BAYOU e-news is to strongly state our needs in sharing with the diverse of deaf, deaf-blind, & hard of hearing citizens, especially 24K ‘Golden Hands’ interpreters in our community to KEEP DEAF  ALIVE.  In addition, the Editor definitely thanks his team for their great contribtion in supporting…Without them, it would be impossible to run the DEAF BAYOU e-news…THANKS & UPPLAUD (hand-waving in the air) to DEAF BAYOU Team!

In addition the Editor wants to thank to all readers in accepting to be our subscribers that have now spreaded more than 20 states PLUS Canada…Our readers: #1…Yay!

Being Ole’ Dan: Countdown being first-ever GRANDPA: 67 days left; my oldest daughter, Kirsten is having a baby BOY named Landon James, due on February 5, 2007.  DEAF BAYOU editor (Grandpa) will keep you posted when he arrives and will hand him football for a TOUCHDOWN!  For sure, Grandpa will spike it for him afterward.

 

AADB Bound:  DEAF BAYOU editor intends to run for the AADB Board of Directors that will open in January, 2007 President Art Roehrig had recommended him earlier. Wishing him the best of luck!

 

Next column of the DEAF BAYOU e-news - [To Be Announced] by Linda Annala, M.Ed., columnist of Tips for Leaders, will be scheduled to distribute on December 10th. Be on the look out!

            Elections Committee Chairperson:  The AADB Board of Directors has approved Blaise Delahoussaye (LSD ’84), a proud brother of Philomena Wolf & Maria Garden, a resident of Maryland and a member of the Metro Washington Association of the Deaf-Blind, to be chairperson of the AADB Elections Committee.  This committee is responsible for counting election ballots for the upcoming board elections.
