~ Celebratin’ GOLDEN 50th Anniversary
of Alexandria Association of the Deaf ~
From the Editor’s Desk:
Wishing you & your family a wonderful Thanksgiving!
This issue (November) of the DEAF BAYOU e-news dedicates to Alexandria Association of the Deaf for its historic GOLDEN (50th) Anniversary; they are planning to have the banquet on the 11th of November.
Being Ole’ Dan: Countdown being first-ever GRANDPA: 97 days left; my oldest daughter, Kirsten is having a baby BOY named Landon James, due on February 5, 2007. DEAF BAYOU editor (Grandpa) will keep you posted when he arrives and will hand him football for a TOUCHDOWN! For sure, Grandpa will spike it for him afterward.
2nd Vice President Elected: Editor Dan was nominated and elected as 2nd Vice President of Affiliated Blind of Louisiana (ABL) Chapter, one of state’s largest chapters, and it is believed that he is first deaf-blind ever to be elected in its history. He will be scheduled to take an oath on Tuesday, November 7th.
Next column of the DEAF BAYOU e-news - Pursuit of Happiness: ASL! by Linda Annala, M.Ed., columnist of Tips for Leaders, will be scheduled to distribute on November 10th. Be on the look out!
