Dandy Lions
Dandy lions are prowling in my garden
Disguised in their sunny yellow bonnets
They've got a bad weedy reputation
For ruining a perfectly prim lawn.
Dandy lions and bright lemony daffodils
Why can't wildflowers and weeds grow
In harmony with prized orchids and roses
And veggies, fruits and nightshades too.
Dandy lions are roaring in my yar'den
Masquerading in camouflaged greens
They've got a bad seedy reputation
For floating down in fluffy parachutes.
Dandy lions are the kings of junkyards
They don't need any fertilizers or manure
To thrive in their rusty concrete jungles
And ferment into fine dandy lion wine.
