ILLY: The Brown Family Green |

The Brown Family Green
There once was a house just down the street from Mr. ILLY's where a family of four named Brown lived. There was the husband and father, Thomas (Tom), the wife and mother, Bernadette (Bernie), their 10 year old daughter, Laurie, and their 8 year old son, Johnny. They were the Brown family to many of their friends. They were a happy family and very close knit. They did a lot of things together and were very well liked and respected people. They were always serving their community. The children had fun with their friends and excelled at school.
One thing that made this family so happy and why they were always looking forward to the month of March was because they were Irish at heart. The entire family were also clowns! They would go out clownin' around with Mr. ILLY and all the clowns rode or walked in the town's St. Patrick's Day parade.
Because this family was Irish and celebrated St. Patrick's Day to the core you could tell they loved the color green. The outside of their home was painted a kind of greenish color. The lawn was always a deep green and well kept. Trees lined the shady yards and the flowers were mostly green in nature.
Inside the home there were a lot of greenish colored walls with green rugs on the wood floors. Even some of the furniture was a shade of green! Yes, the windows were draped in green as well as bedspreads were also different shades of green.
The family car was, you guessed it, green! The family dog was named Twinder because she was always winding herself around someone's legs, family or visitors. The family cat was Gracie because she played gracefully. But Gracie had green eyes!
Then there were the clown costumes, all in greenish shades with green wigs and green shoes upon their feet. Boy, they could be the green people from Mars!
However, the Brown family was a happy family and had a good life in what they chose to do. They enjoyed the jokes and Irish stories that came their way. And Mr. ILLY enjoyed their company so much that he came to call them, "the Brown family green" and the Brown family loved the name so much!
