A jack-o-lantern with smiling face
Is coming to visit your place
He wants to introduce a poet
One who is hard to forget

This poet’s name is Patty
Her great grandmother was Hattie
She is a farmer’s daughter
But now the town’s caught her

Patty loves to rustle up a poem
Using her computer at home
A letter might also come your way
Something to brighten your day

Jack-o-lantern smiling his brightest
Will tell you this poet is full of zest
She’s legally blind and hearing impaired
And is one who deeply cared
