Dawn of a Golden Age

One night I dreamt that I was back in my hometown
I stood in the driveway beside my parents' old house
And watched strange cigar-shaped UFOs flying down
My fear, excitement and anticipation were aroused.

An old childhood friend named Jean lived next door
With my arm around her, we gazed up into the sky
And I remembered the sermon from the night before
Of the mighty glowing Son of Revelation 1 and why.

I understood we had entered the dawn of a new age
I exclaimed to my friend Jean, “Isn’t this great news!"
She looked away, shook her head and stood in a daze
She hadn't been prepared for she had her own views.

Had she rejected the Golden One, that I didn't know
I knew she'd be taken to a place of love and healing
I watched her as she boarded the silent hovering UFO
When I looked out the window, I found myself reeling.

Had I seen a monster or my reflection in the window
How could there be a glowing face looking back at me
I recoiled but as I recovered, I looked and it was so
My own face was unearthly, that much I could see.

The window had transformed itself into a mirror
My face glowed brightly like warm glowing embers
I saw the likeness of my reflection as I drew nearer
My opened mouth became a shapeless black hole.

Though I was glowing, I wasn't burning like the sun
The soft striped flannel shirt revealed my shape so fair
With interest, I saw my shirt wasn't smoking like a gun
My head kept its nice uniform shape but not my hair.

No longer flesh and blood, I was a new spirit being
I imagined I was composed of the same substance
As the Glowing Son of Revelation One and seeing
That I was still the same person I had ever been.

I understood we had entered the dawn of a new age
And I had become the golden servant of God Most High
Was it time for all men to embrace their Glowing Sage
To learn the way of peace and to no longer sigh and cry.
