Dear Friends,
It is with a heavy heart and much dissapointment that I am unable to be with you tomorrow. 10 years ago, I help my Mother with the battle of her life as she beat kidney cancer. At approximently 12:00 noon today, she called for help thinking that she might be having a heart attack. She was rushed to Helen Keller Hospital where she is stable. She is very disappointed that she is the cause of me not being with you, she feels as though she has also let you down. She even made me try to get a flight out later tonight, but due to severe thunderstorms accross our area until 10:00. Also, my dad and brother are out of town, but on their way home to be with mom- so I am the only one here.
I hope and pray that you all understand my situation. I share in your disappointment- but please know that nothing but a family emergency would have kept me from being with you. I hope you will let me come be with you again sometime soon.
I will be returning the ticket fare to Dan the first part of the week. I will also offer free Helen Keller chronology books to anyone who would like one. I will be glad to autograph them also.
