ILLY: My Mother is a Clown E-mail

My Mother is a Clown

"Mom", said 8 year old Jimmy Jefferson, pointing off in the distance, "what are those people doing over there?"

Ms. Jefferson looked toward where her son was pointing and saw a huge group of people gathered around. She and her son walked over to the crowd and immediately saw four clowns all wearing beautiful costumes. There were two men and two women. The women were wearing colorful dresses that flowed out and down to their feet.

As they watched, Ms. Jefferson became awestruck and wondered how she would look in one of those dresses.

Apparently one of the female clowns seemed to know what Ms. Jefferson was thinking and walked over to where Ms. Jefferson and Jimmy were standing. As the clown drew closer Jimmy's jaw dropped! He was so stunned to see how neat the clown was dressed and asked his mom if she would like to become a clown.

Overhearing Jimmy's remark to his mother, the clown spoke and said, "Hello, my name is Bee Joy and I couldn't help but hear what you said to your mom." "I think your mother would make a most beautiful clown and we can make her face up and put a dress on her right here and now!"

Not wanting to protest because she liked the idea, Ms. Jefferson obliged and Bee Joy and her friends sat to work on Ms. Jefferson.

When they had finished, Ms. Jefferson had become a most dazzling clown! The dress colors stood out and brought so much beauty to Ms. Jefferson. Jimmy saw how beautiful his mother was and swelled with pride! He already knew his mother was beautiful and did not need a clown outfit.

The day went by fast and both Jimmy and his mom had a lot of fun hanging around with the clowns. They had so much fun that Ms. Jefferson made a commitment to become a clown. Jimmy approved of his mother's decision. He knew his mother was funny and would make a lot of children laugh.

Ms. Jefferson and Jimmy thanked Bee Joy for letting her use the dress and she and Bee Joy began a true friendship that they both enjoy very much.

Jimmy keeps telling his mother how much he loves her and Ms. Jefferson keeps telling Jimmy the same thing.

Mothers are made of love and share that love so everyone should remember their mother on Mother's Day!
