Louisiana-Bound (2008)

Part 22 of 40: Fisherman's Wharf Friday

Most of our swamp tour friends were at Pat's Fisherman's Wharf for dinner. Jessica drove us there and would also drive us home later. We went in and sat where we were most comfortable at the pulled together line of tables.
Melanie had a cheeseburger with fries. The burger was thick and looked good with plenty of fixings. I had chicken, with green beans and baked potato for the main course. The chicken was a bit too Cajun for me, but not bad as I was starting to develop a taste for it and the rest meal was fine. The ice-cream, which I ordered for dessert would fill any empty space which might leave a hungry feeling in my stomach.

I appreciate the efforts of Yenter, to take the orders, but also, I would like a regular waiter or waitress to summons in case of any problems.

The ice-cream I ordered did not come and there some confusion about the tips. First we were told not to tip. Then Betty was collecting tips. The end result was that tip money was collected and where it went, I do not know, but it worked out somehow?
Melanie told me that Yenter wants to be a lawyer to represent the deafblind. Yenter figures he may not make a bundle of money, but he felt that he would be happy because of the service he could give to the deafblind.

Many restaurants in the Louisiana area which we visited specialized in seafood and Cajun food. Usually Melanie and I share our meals, especially if one if us can't eat something or don't like it. I probably ate half of Melanie's meal at Pat's that night!

Anyway we were all tired and went home shortly after our meals. I did get a chance to check out the restaurant before leaving. Some people can look at those fish from across the restaurant, but I want to see them close up. As far as fish pictures and fish preserved by a taxidermist, the wall decor was impressive. examined each of them one by one.

Upon arriving home, we found the door locked. Of course Jessica and Philomena insisted on waiting with Melanie and I until Dan arrived home to let us in. So the three ladies gabbed for about 20 minutes while I checked for a key. They could have gone on for an hour. In fact, well, forget it, lol.

I have to hand it to Dan, though, his place wouldn't be easy to break into. No spare key could be found and nothing was easy to open. I checked everywhere! The night was pleasant, however, it was far from over.
