AADB '09 Debate: Closing Statement from Dan - Hulk

Closing Statement Dan-Hulk: Dear AADB Members and Friends: We are very excited to be running as a team for the Presidency and Vice Presidency of AADB. We believe we are a very open and honest choice to lead AADB. We feel we have the dedication, knowledge, experience, and energy it takes to work with the Board of Directors, Office Staff, and Membership. We have been planning this election for almost a year and are very eager to meet more and more deaf-blind Americans. We are on many deaf-blind related listservs, have been meeting many deaf-blind people as we travel across America, have membership in other deaf and deaf-blind organizations, and we possess skills and experience from leading in Louisiana and South Dakota. We are ready to take on AADB’s financial situation and turn AADB into a healthy and productive organization. Our four top priorities for AADB are a National SSP Program, Dependable National Conferences, Accessible Technology, and Open Communication, although not listed in any specific order. We will strive to reach these goals for all members of the deaf-blind community. The strength of America is not found somewhere. It is found in the compassionate hearts and enterprising spirit of our deaf-blind citizens. To solve our current problems, AADB must lead. But the way to lead is not to ignore constantly and put more demonstrations and power in the hands of AADB. The way to lead is by empowering you - the Deaf-Blind (DB) American people because we believe that DB Americans can do anything. Facing a tough challenge, even tougher, we continue to work harder to better the quality lives of our deaf-blind community.
