This issue (October) of the DEAF BAYOU e-news dedicates to Kim Powers-Smith of Austin, Texas whom starred “Kim’s World” in TV, in which she experienced deaf-blind challenges facing tough obstacles in her own self-esteem. Kim is scheduled to come to Louisiana for being guest speaker at the Deaf-Blind Retreat at Eunice this month.
