Spirited Away

By the glow of the candlelight

Just the sound of my sigh as it strikes midnight

It flickered, but then it stood still

As if time came to a till

Closing my eyes to a silent melody

My spirit begins to leave my body

The desert wind takes me out the window

Floating, I leave no shadow

Over the Sahara my spirit roams free

While my body back there lies like a rooted tree

Running at a speed like a wild stallion

Roaring like a passionate lion

For so long I fly, there comes the rising sun Sand in the hourglass has done its run

Spirit and Body together once again,

I wake up, my strength gained.
